Blue Cash Preferred Credit Card Review

The American Express Blue Cash Preferred Card is one of the best cash-back credit cards  in the market.  It provides a unique cash rewards program, including 6% back on groceries up to $6,000 per year, 3% cash back on gasoline at U.S. stand-alone gas stations, 3% cash back at select major department stores; and 1% cash back on other purchases, and a limited annual fee of $75.  The card also comes with everything you'd expect from American Express, including Roadside Assistance and Car Rental/Travel Accident Insurance, as well as dispute resolution and Return Protection.

Basically, the Blue Cash Preferred is a simple, no-frills rewards card that gives you a good amount of cash back.  Our issues with this card would be the somewhat steep $150 Annual Fee, however if you spend $1,000 in the first three months of using the card the cash back negates this fee.  Our other issue would be the $6,000 cap on groceries - but let's be honest, the 3% uncapped at major department stores probably offsets this.  In our opinion, if used regularly, this is one of the best cash-back cards on in the market.
