Marriott Rewards Premier Visa Signature Card Review

The Marriott Rewards Premier Visa Signature Credit Card is a Rewards cards tailored specifically to those who stay at Marriott or partner hotels (Renaissance Hotels, Courtyard, Residence Inn and Fairfield Inn & Suites) regularly.  If you stay at Marriotts regularly, you earn 5x points for all of the money you spend with the hotel, in addition to getting credit towards convenient things like Elite Status - which provide great incentives like complimentary late checkout or weekend discounts.  The Marriott Rewards Premier Visa Signature credit card also provides travel benefits - like extra points for purchasing airline tickets and no foreign transaction fees.

The Marriott Rewards Premier Credit Card is a great card for getting to elite status and earning free hotel night stays fast.  The point system is one of the more generous we've seen, and Marriott is willing to get the ball rolling by providing a substantial number of nights towards elite status as well as free nights across the board.  Because of this, this card really only makes sense if you're a frequent traveler and you frequently stay at Marriotts or Marriott Partner Properties - especially with the $85 annual fee starting in the second year. If you don't, and are looking for a more general card, we'd recommend visiting our travel credit cards page. But if you travel often and like to stay at Marriott hotels, this card will get you free nights, free upgrades, and cash back for staying in your favorite rooms.
