Marriott Rewards Visa Signature Card Review

The Marriott Rewards Visa Signature Credit Card is a hotel oriented rewards card by Chase.  The credit card provides a very competitive benefit system for staying at Marriott Locations, including 3 points for every $1 spent at their hotels and 1 point for every $1 spent elsewhere.  In addition to the points, the credit card awards 30,000 bonus points if you spend $1,000 in your first three months, in addition to 10 nights credit towards Marriott Elite Status.

The 30,000 bonus points and 10 extra nights towards Elite are especially significant for the Marriott Rewards Signature Credit Card.  Elite status includes a number of enticing benefits, including 48-hour guaranteed availability (you always get a room), lounge access and free breakfast, and the reservation guarantee - if for some reason Marriott can't accommodate you, they'll put you up at a nearby hotel for up to $200.

All in all, the $45 annual fee is relatively low for Hotels Rewards cards, and we think the Marriott Rewards Signature Credit Card provides great bang for the buck.  That being said, it's only relevant if you stay at Marriott hotels all the time, otherwise, there are better travel reward cards on the market.
